Got Talent, American Idol, X Factor... man, you get a long list of those Singing Contests over your teletubes. This day and for the previous days, I always find myself got glued watching this hit reality singing show, The Voice.

Here's a quick review of the show:
The series consists of three phases: a blind audition, a battle phase, and live performance shows. Four judges/coaches, all noteworthy recording artists, choose teams of contestants through a blind audition process. Each judge has the length of the auditioner's performance (about one minute) to decide if he or she wants that singer on his or her team; if two or more judges want the same singer (as happens frequently), the singer has the final choice of coach.

Each team of singers is mentored and developed by its respective coach. In the second stage, called the battle phase, coaches have two of their team members battle against each other directly by singing the same song together, with the coach choosing which team member to advance from each of four individual "battles" into the first live round. Within that first live round, the surviving four acts from each team again compete head-to-head, with public votes determining one of two acts from each team that will advance to the final eight, while the coach chooses which of the remaining three acts comprises the other performer remaining on the team.

Having Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton in one show is a Power house. The show deserved to be a hit!

I love the blind audition. Its just very exciting to watch and wait for the coaches press those buttons. Here are some of those great moments:

March 11, 2012- When Youtube Motivates

Youtube is among my top websites in terms of visits. Along with Facebook, Twitter, Blogspot and Google this is a great site where:

1. I can revisit events and performances;
2. I can watch music videos of my favorite artists;
3. I can listen and sing along videoke type videos;
4. I can download remixes and tunes, and convert them as MP3;
5. I can learn some tricks and visual instructions in doing something;
6. I can hysterically laugh out loud those funny moments;
7. And greatly, I can view and be inspired by those amazing videos.


Surely, I posted, shared and used these videos for my training-workshops,  embraced them as a motivational tool and excitingly talked about them to all my family and friends.

I have lined up some of them here for you. I should say, these are priceless videos...

Philippines invades American Idol?

March 11, 2012- Philippines Invades American Idol

While waiting for my friends to text me before going out last Friday, I was glued to the tube and was amazed by Jessica Sanchez rendition of I Will Always Love You.

It hit me when she finished the song with a standing ovation from Jennifer Lopez, Steve Tyler and Randy Jackson. It was a powerful performance and i think she deserved to be among the finalists. And yes, she's a Filipina. Her father is a Mexican-American and her mother is a Filipina from Bataan... Now, she lives in San Diego, California and now amusing the whole American community with her voice... 

I stopped watching American Idol years ago... if i could remember, the last American Idol I watched was season 9... after that, i had that feeling of the show as conventionally boring...  

Honestly, I miss having and hearing Simon Cowell's comments after each performances... heck, he has his own show now...

Moving on, I guess putting JLo and Steve Tyler in the show sufficed the challenge to impress... I think they make great jurors for the Idol.

So now that a Filipino is in it...I think I'm going to enjoy the excitement and watching the finalist climb the ladder to the top...

Now, isn't it amazing to note that more and more Filipinos are taking the stage of entertainment?

I could proudly say that Filipinos are indeed TALENTED. Right?

A Piece of The New Charice

March 11, 2012- A New Piece of Charice

To be honest, I'm really not a big fan of this Youtube baby! However, let's just say, my music files include Charice's songs...Her songs are okay and... well, okay.

Truth is, knowing her story and her cinderella like life story, I'm happy for what she become and where she is right now.

Lately, she was spotted in her blonde 'do and tattoo which were a big surprise to all those who follow her...

Anyway, let's see a bunch of her looks years back...

Now,  here's the celebrated new look of  the international sensation...

Seriously, I'm one of those people who is trying to understand the WHY's of this new look. However, I think this is an honest confession of who she really is... I appreciate the courage of her change and hoping this won't affect her career...

Though, I prefer the old look, i completely understand she's an artist, if this is how she express her true self, then let it be.

Do You Have The Stomach For Bizarre Food

March 7- 2012 - Bizarre Food

I don't like eating exotic food...I just don't eat exotic food. Now why blog about them? A week ago I posted about the food i want in my table. Then a friend of mine, asked me if I eat Frog, Snake, Worms, grasshoppers, etc... damn! Just thinking and picturing them in my plate just ... arggh! NO! Just can't imagine them sliding in my throat... My friend told me that they taste good... more delicious than the Jollibee Chicken, more juicy than the Purefoods hotdog... stop stop stop....

Anyway, for those of you who loves eating exotic food, i'm sharing this bizarre food for you.

If you are eating right now and if you don't have a strong stomach, this post ain't for you...

So here goes...

Weeks ago, i found a picture of a girl wearing condom... weird huh?


...please don't get me wrong, she wears condom like how she wears her dress.

If you collect condoms, after using condoms (laughing out loud), you can check the following for inspiration- Save The Earth, Recycle and Reuse your condoms...start collecting them now... who knows you can create a University of Condom Fashion, enjoy:

So the next time, you're planning to buy a condom in a pharmacy or any store, you don't have to cover your face or feel embarrassed, just tell the teller, you're making a dress out of it..
