March 2, 2012- X-Men's Gambit Star Tells Something About NAIA Immigration Experience
I was preparing food for the dogs when this TV Patrol news took my attention...
Here's a quick report from The Manila Paper:
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is in the news again, after an American actor talked about his experience at the country's premier airport on David Letterman's show. Taylor Kitsch told Letterman about his unfavorable experience at NAIA on his way to shooting a film in the Philippines.
Taylor Kitsch, best known for his role on 'Friday Night Lights', went to the Philippines to film Oliver Stone's "Savages" with John Travolta, Benicio Del Toro and Uma Thurman. Upon arrival, as Kitsch told David Letterman, he was topped by immigration officials and told to go back to Japan where he came from, because his passport was out of blank pages and immigration had no space to authenticate his entry. Despite having a valid visa to enter the country and film here, Taylor Kitsch was told he could enter the country.
To make matters worse, airport officials didn't believe he was an actor. Taylor Kitsch didn't travel with the other big-name stars and was thus unrecognized by airport immigration officials. Everything was clarified after he showed immigration officials a trailer of his film on his IPhone. He also accused the unnamed officer of asking for an IPhone from him.
The NAIA has been receiving negative publicity lately after being names as the worst airport in the world by a travel website, and one of the most hated aiports by CNN, due to its outdated facilities, allegations of corruption, and cramped surroundings, not to mention its poorly maintained restrooms. Local officials have promised to renovate the airport to meet international standards.

I would like to quote some parts of the article...
"...airport officials didn't believe he was an actor." - this is understandable. You can't expect all to appreciate Hollywood movies.
"... He also accused the unnamed officer of asking for an IPhone from him." - what the f*ck!
"...the worst airport in the world by a travel website, and one of the most hated aiports by CNN, due to its outdated facilities, allegations of corruption, and cramped surroundings, not to mention its poorly maintained restrooms." - this is a BIG BIG BIG Bullshit!
If this is true, TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT!!!!
The Philippines Government should look closely into this. Investigate to clarify everything.
I just can't believe what i heard and seen in the news tonight...
This is a wake up screaming call to all NAIA personnel and to Pinoy.
Please! Let's make good publicity to give justice to our tourism's "It's More Fun In The Philippines" Slogan.
Till then...
XOXO~~~
